Autism refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. It affects an estimated 1 in 59 children in the United States today. There is no one type of autism, but many, and it is a lifelong journey. SITE Florida & Caribbean is joining Team John Matthew and walking to raise funds for Autism Speaks – to fuel research and connect children and families living with autism to critical lifelong support and services. Join our team by donating to help us meet our fundraising goal to have a voice with legislators, to have access to the information and resources we need, to support research and medical discovery, and help fund local services through the mission of Autism Speaks. Please support our team, captained by our SITE chapter president Jorge Colona, proud father of a big and beautiful autistic 24 years-old young man!
